Standard €449 covers the whole program: the opening and closing parties with meals, the Ikigai Academy, the Nomad Impact Summit, Synapse Festival and the daily meetups and workshops. The Ikigai Academy Pass (€289) covers September 30 and the two Academy days only; Premium (€899, capped at 50) adds nightly dinners, an excursion and an October 1–10 coworking pass. 10% Japanese consumption tax is added at checkout. The area
Fukuoka is compact and walkable, a city of 1.5 million that the organiser pitches as 1.5 hours from Tokyo, an hour from Seoul and two from Shanghai. Event venues cluster around Tenjin and Daimyo in the centre. Hakata sits near the station and the airport, Nakasu splits the difference between the two, and Ohori Park is the quiet green option for anyone who wants distance from the nightlife.

Fukuoka draws remote workers as Japan's most livable big city on a budget - cheaper rent than Tokyo or Osaka, a compact walkable core, famous street-food stalls, and Kyushu's beaches and onsen towns within day-trip range.

Getting around
Fukuoka's subway and bus network make it very walkable and transit-friendly, no car needed; Fukuoka airport is unusually close to downtown, about 15 minutes by subway.

A ten-day workation program in Fukuoka built around the two-day Ikigai Academy, where 30-plus speakers talk through how they rebuilt the way they live and work, plus the Nomad Impact Summit, Synapse Festival and daily meetups and workshops, run alongside RAMEN TECH, the city's startup conference. It opens on September 30 with the World Nomad Conference, free to attend and supported by Fukuoka City. The 2025 edition drew 496 participants from 57 nationalities.
