Founder-heavy and built to avoid feeling like a conference. Red carpet opening, jeep safaris across the island, cold plunges, spa access and themed parties - the 2026 gala is 'The Great Unwritten', dress code architectural white. Days start with an 8am workout, run talks and workshops through the late morning, leave 1:00 to 3:30 open, then close with a three-course networking dinner and a late lounge session. The organiser is blunt that it is 'NOT for beginners' and aims it at people already running profitable businesses.

The area
Madeira's oceanfront south coast, an hour or so of Atlantic cliffs off the coast of Morocco and reachable by direct flight from most of Europe. Two 4-star spa hotels and the auditorium sit within three minutes' walk of each other, so the week happens almost entirely on foot. December on Madeira stays mild and green - the island's draw is the levada walks and the volcanic interior rather than the swimming.

A seven-day founders' week on Madeira's south coast, run by The Nomad Escape, which has held a December event on the island since 2019 — it ran through 2025 as Nomad Island Fest. Around 100 people, with talks, workshops and connection sessions. Only the Premium pass includes a bed; Basic ticket-holders book their own accommodation. Premium guests stay in one of two 4-star oceanfront hotels, a few minutes' walk from each other and from the auditorium. Cancel 60 or more days out for a 95% refund; inside 60 days you can transfer your place or roll it to the following year.
