Vibe
Entrepreneur-heavy and social rather than retreat-quiet. Workshops run in the mornings in small groups, weekdays stay open for your own work, and evenings fill with community dinners, beach-bar hangouts and nights out in the old town. Most attendees are 25 to 50, mixing first-year nomads with people a decade into it.

The area
The southernmost town in Europe, where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean and Africa sits 14 km across the strait. Things to do nearby
Tarifa is Europe's windsurfing and kitesurfing capital — remote workers come for near-daily wind, a laid-back beach-town vibe, and easy access to both Spain's south coast and a short ferry to Morocco.
Casco Antiguo (Old Town) — historic center, walkable, tapas bars
Los Lances — main beach, close to town, remote-worker favorite
Levante/Valdevaqueros — kitesurf and windsurf hub, further out, quieter
Getting around
Old town is walkable; a scooter or car helps reach beach spots outside center; no train station, so most arrive by bus or a 1-hour drive from Jerez/Gibraltar.
🏝 Nomad visa: yes — Digital Nomad Visa, ~€2,849/mo income

About
Nomadbase's fourth Tarifa gathering, a week of talks, workshops, excursions and evening socials at the southern tip of Spain. Accommodation not included — book separately; the organisers pass on recommendations and deals for nearby places, plus an online space to team up with other participants on shared apartments. Sessions sit mostly outside working hours, so it runs as a workation rather than a week off. 150 people came in 2026; the 2027 edition is built for 300, and the full programme lands closer to the event.
