The area
Hualien City, on Taiwan's east coast, with the marble walls of Taroko Gorge and the Rift Valley within day-trip range. Trains from Taipei take 3.5 to 4.5 hours; flights take 50 minutes.

Twelve days in Hualien for a cohort of around 40, working from the Festival Hotel and the Hualien Cloud Hub, with a two-day conference in the middle (April 23–24): keynotes, breakouts, an unconference and lightning talks on remote-work compliance, one-person businesses, AI tools and community building, roughly a third of it in English. The rest threads coworking with Taroko Gorge, Liyu Lake, an Indigenous long-table dinner and creek-tracing, and ends with a convoy south to the Taitung leg on April 30. Accommodation not included — book separately; Festival Hotel is the home base, with a partner hostel nearby. Each of Taiwan Digital Fest's three legs is sold on its own.
