In a private room each guest pays the shared-room rate — a private room fits one or two people for the same total, so a couple pays the same as booking two shared spots. Solo travellers can book a private room at the private rate.

Things to do nearby
Florianópolis, an island city nicknamed Brazil's tech hub, draws nomads for dozens of beaches, a growing coworking scene, and a lower cost of living than São Paulo or Rio.
Lagoa da Conceição — lakeside nomad hub, cafes, coworking, nightlife
Centro — downtown transit hub, historic, practical base
Jurerê Internacional — upscale beach enclave, quieter, resort feel
Canasvieiras — budget-friendly north-shore beach, more local
Getting around
An island city best covered by car or scooter since buses between beaches are slow and infrequent; Uber is widely used; airport is 20-30 minutes from Lagoa/Centro.
